Tourism entrepreneurs meet with Secretary of State for Tourism

40 Balearic tourism entrepreneurs (including the president of Association of the Balearic Nautical -AENB-Margaret Dahlberg) met on May the 8th with Secretary of State for Tourism, Elizabeth Borrego, who informed them about the actions carried out from her department to help the industry. The meeting, held on the premises of the CAEB, also served to discuss the work carried out between the various ministries to enhance tourism and assured the attendees that are open to dialogue with all parties involved and listening to all your suggestions.
One of the points at which Borrego emphasized is the need to explore possible avenues of collaboration between the public and private sectors to carry out the project of reform of the Playa de Palma.

Bartomeu Bestard, president of the Federation of Nautical Enterprises Baleares (FENIB), offered the possibility that The Baleares could become the national benchmark in terms of nautical tourism is concerned, given the good work that he believes is being out in our community.

Another of the strengths of the meeting was the announcement of Borreg's department is working on the draft reform of the Coastal Act.Some of the objectives of this reform is to enhance legal certainty and to extend the concessions.

The sectretaria of Tourism welcomed the meeting as attendees, who expressed the harmony that seemed to have. Borrego said they could do a joint project to enhance tourism.
