Interviews with our members - REVIVAL SUPERYACHTS

REVIVAL SUPERYACHTS. The director, Isobal M. Allan has explained us that in these years they have turned into one of the leading companies of interior designers and fabricators for super yachts.

Please, tell us about the trajectory of the company.

The company began in 1996 and since then we have not done anything but prosper. At the beginning we started painting and repairing vinyls of small boats and suddenly we turned into interior designers. We hire interior designers and we do complete refits on yachts and refurbish houses. In these moments, our main facilities are in Santa Ponça, Mallorca which have a surface of 2000m2. The aim of our craftsmen is to manufacture, renovate and produce the works with an exceptional quality in the required time. In Varadero STP, Palma, Revival has a showroom office to attend the boats that enter into the port. Here, captains and owners can meet with project managers and choose a wide range of materials. Moreover, Revival has an outlet in the ship yard of MB 92 Barcelona, where work can be carried out on site to assist boats in and around Barcelona. Now we are expanding into the housing market and hotels and we would like to work more in interiors at an international level.

What services and products do you offer?

Revival dedicates to interior and exterior conditioning of yachts and super yachts including design, furniture and upholstery. We can deal with everything related to yacht refitting as well as the ones of recent construction. From complete projects of interior design, upholstery, covers, tonneux, biminis and awnings to carpets, rugs, bedlinen, cleaning, woodwork and furniture. In our webpage you can find the complete information.

Currently, in your opinion, which are the main problems of the yacht sector in the Balearic Islands?

The main problem is that the boats do not want to come here because it is too expensive. The matriculation is very expensive. I also think that there are many companies doing the same activity; there is more competition and thus, less boats. For this reason we would like to expand into the housing and hotel market. We have to go outside and we normally work in other places (out of Spain). I think that there is not enough work because the government is not supporting in the way that is supporting the hotel industry.

How did you join the AENB?

We have been working for 16 years. We have known Margarita Dahlberg for a long time and she convinced us to join the association when we started the business, and here we continue.

What services do you value most about the AENB?

The information about the government in terms of what they are doing about the matriculation of the boats coming here and the taxes. It is a way to keep us informed to what is going on in that. But for the rest of the things of the association unfortunately we do not have a lot of time to attend everything.
